Maple Grilled Bananas
Cooking with Euro Alfresco
4 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Vanilla ice-cream or natural unsweetened yogurt to serve
1/4 pecan nuts, chopped

Step 1
Preheat your Euro BBQ grill to 200°C and line an oven tray with baking paper, set aside.
Step 2
With your bananas, trim stalks and slice in half lengthways. Arrange on prepared oven tray, ensuring bananas are placed cut side-up. Sprinkle cinnamon and maple syrup over the top and place on grill for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Step 3
In a dry fry pan on medium heat (no oil is required) toast pecan nuts for a few minutes. Turn off heat and add in maple syrup, it will slowly start to bubble and caramelise - add in pecan nuts and stir until well combined.
Step 4
Place two grilled bananas on a plate and drizzle over caramelised pecans. Additional, serve with either yogurt or ice-cream and enjoy!
